Revelations!

So i have been having trouble for a long time falling asleep during my nighttime prayers. I feel like i never really finish. This has been a problem for almost as long as i have really learned to pray. not every night but most nights. I like my prayers to be the last thing i do before i sleep and closing my eyes just leads to them inducing sleep! So the other night i was about to read before bed as i usually do and i thought, " why don't i say my prayers first?" Brilliant! So I said my prayers, then read my Ensign , got more out of my reading and went to sleep after reading. So my question is-why did it take me 10 yrs to figure this out?!?! It makes me laugh that this has been something that has bothered me for so long but i never realized how simple the solution was.
I am brilliant. (that's sarcasm)
