On Sunday we had a great little lesson in our Spanish Branch Primary about reverence and how we need to respect the Lord's house. Dante was very excited to show everyone how to be reverent, jumping up and down with his arms folded. Well, he sort of gets it, right? I was very proud.
Come Monday I am trying to find sitters for Dante this week since I may or may not have jury duty and my regular babysitter is out of town . It has been quite the coordination and planning issue. Of course my amazing neighbor Amelia will take him on 2 days and Dante couldn't be happier about that. Playing with his best bud owen-what cna be better than that? So on Tuesday I need to reach out and find some help from an old babysitter of his from Peru, Jesus (hey-soos). Yes it is a strange name for a woman but its a long story.
All day Monday I am preparing him to go to her house and he is resisting. I am getting frustrated remembering how hard it used to be to get him off in the mornings before he had a little friend to play with. So I am reminding him how sweet Jesus (hey-soos) is and how much Jesus (hey-soos) loves him.
This morning before we go I ask if he is ready to go see Jesus(hey-sus)? And he's really grumpy with me, more so than usual, and declares I don't want to go to Jesus' House! It's not sunday!
Then it hits me-poor thing thought I was still talking about going to Jesus' house at the church. He was very confused. Who knows what all was going on in the head of that little 4 yr old. Going to see Jesus already when he knows we go to be with Jesus when we die. I don't even know if that's what he was thinking but what a funny kid. Once he realized it was his friend Jesus and not our Lord, he was fine.
Lesson to be learned here? for one don't name your kids Jesus! it gets very confusing

Great story. I often wonder what little kids must be thinking when grown ups explain this to them. So confusing!
that's hilarious!
