Momma's Boys-(Don't judge me)

There is probably some sort of rule about late night posts but hey you have to do something when you can't sleep. ( ignore the spelling errors and typos)
OK so I am going to admit that I was watching Momma's Boys tonight (produced by Ryan Seacrest self proclaimed mama's boy). If you have seen this show then hang your head in shame with me. I just had to share my thoughts. having married a mama's boy I have to admit the concept intrigued me a bit...
thought#1- shows like this really parade all that is wrong with our culture and what is up with the girls on these shows! ? so they all have posed nude and say their families are totally cool with it. (What is wrong with their parents!?) they've had plastic surgery (that's on top of the breast implants) at 21 or younger and have debt up into the hundred of thousands. ( not for student loans or homes) But i guess that goes along with the mindset that they are so sure they will find love on a TV show. and that they "feel a real connection" with a guy they don' even know! Come on girls what is wrong with you.
so the mom's are possessive of their sons. I am all for the letting go (being married t a mama's boy remember) But if this was the dating pool I would take my son and run no matter how hard he fought me. (we'll ignore the logical factors that hopefully I raise my son with better taste, standards, morals, and wisdom than to be on one of these shows)
which brings me to Thought #2-This is basically what one mom tried to do. But she was pretty creepy. I wouldn't tell my son to chose me over them or try to go on romantic dates with him or even throw fits hopefully. But man she made me wonder when does total adoration of your kids slip into psycho territory?

Ha, That is rad. I did not watch this show, but thanks for the input. You could be writing about a NUMBER of reality shows here. I have often had these thoughts go through my head while watching even the bachelor. In essence, I guess I watch shows like this to remind me of how normal I really am even if sometimes I think I am nuts. ;) Love the comments and totally agree.

I totally agree. I saw this show once and vowed to NEVER watch it again. What is this world coming to? Makes you wonder about the whole story---the part that was edited by the camera crew to get people to watch it :) Have fun in Argentina--that should be an exciting trip!

I hang my head in shame with you as well, but dang, I'm so glad I'm married and don't have to date anymore. Apparently Pat didn't have the option of dating a bunch of Penthouse models because here we are now.
