Ok so they say you marry someone like your dad. I had no idea i would be living the life my mom has lived for so long. My dad traveled(s) alot and now so does my hubby. Being alone all the time is not fun. Sometimes its cool for a little while but 2-3 weeks out of the month not so cool. but then its such a little thing why complain. because that's what i do! Just kidding. not really. anyways. Just bored and lonely so i thought i'd talk to myself..
so anyways.. I like being alone in general. But it gets old real fast. Especially when everyone else has families and husbands to go home to. Dante and i work it out though. but i realized today its not just being alone its that is hard. its not having the person you share your life with there to be a part of it. Its so silly that I feel sorry for myself because things can be worse believe me i know. but what about poor fede- at least I have Dante and friends and church. IT breaks my heart sometimes when Dante won't talk to him on the phone (he's been better about it now and won't let me talk to him he hogs the phone) but its so heartbreaking when he gets hurt or something ans says "I need my papa". Good thing out of all this..we really appreciate Fede more. And oh yeah having a job is quite a blessing as well. no more complaining. (tonight) Life is good. 3 more days!

I remember living that life style while Josh was in school. True he did come home every night but it was usually after I had fallen asleep. And then he'd be gone before I woke up. Strange how we survive without the constant companionship we so were expecting after getting married, huh? What's funny now is by Monday I'm ready for him to get out of the house and go to work :) Hang in there! It will all pay off. Give me a call or email whenever you want to chat. Dante is such a sweet boy. I bet your really cherish the times when Fede is home. How's his heart thing? I haven't heard yet. See you soon at the ranch!
I'm pretty sure you can complain all you want about your husband being gone for 2/3 of the month! I would hate that too!
Sorry you're lonely but I'm glad you have Dante and friends around you. Taking care of kids makes for a long day...and an even longer one when no one comes home at night to hang out with you.
about your questions on my blog...
the Parent Ed classes are just offered through our community college. I don't think there are many other places that do it. But it's so fun. I really wish more colleges would join in.
And making neck ties. Hmmm. That's a really cute idea. I've never though of it. But you know, you could do one for Dante real easily without a lot of sewing involved. Just use one of his normal ties, cut something you want out of felt (felt doesn't fray on the edges like fabric does), buy some sharp quilting needles (they have a bigger opening at the back for thick embroidery thread to go through) and buy some embroidery thread (you can get a big spool of white or cream color at Walmart for about $2) and then just sew the felt image or felt letter (like "D" for Dante) by hand right on to the tie. Try out your hand-stitching on a scrap piece of fabric first to get the hang of it. It wouldn't be hard and you don't need a machine for it! Let me know if you make anything :)
that a cute idea dana i never thought of that. i may try it someday....but seriously let me know if you ever do make ties. i will buy them!
